New Era will automatically create and add participants to breakout rooms in the Zoom session. However, to isolate the parties at the beginning of the meeting, you will need to do a small amount of configuring prior to the session.

Starting the Meeting

Start the meeting (ideally a few minutes before the meeting is scheduled)

Once the Zoom App has started, click “Breakout Rooms” on the bottom menu.

A smaller window will open. Click on the settings button (the little gear icon).

Edit settings to look like this:

  1. Remove the check from “Allow participants to return to the main session at any time”.

  2. Check “Automatically move all assigned participants into breakout rooms".

Click the settings (gear icon) to close the panel.

Click “Open All Rooms”.

All participants will join their selected rooms. No one will appear in the main session.

Switching between Breakout Rooms

The neutral can switch rooms at any time. You can do that by clicking on the “Join” button. You need to hover over the correct spot for the “Join” button to be visible. The spot is to the right of the room name.
