New Era ADR integrates with Zoom to make scheduling your sessions or hearings even easier. Once connected, we will automatically create and manage Zoom meetings for all of your New Era ADR disputes.

How to connect Zoom to New Era

  1. Scroll down to the "Zoom Configuration" section.

  2. Click "Connect My Zoom Account."

  3. This will redirect you to a Zoom.us webpage, where you can login and authorize our app. We require a small set of permissions in order to schedule effectively on your behalf. If you have any questions about these permissions, you can reach out to us at [email protected].

  4. Click "Accept."

  5. This should redirect you back to the New Era Platform, with a success message displayed on the top.

How to use

After successfully connecting, any meetings scheduled through our Platform will automatically have a Zoom meeting created for them. We will invite all requested users and apply some settings. The event creation page will list specifically what we will do.

If you want to change any settings (breakout rooms, recording permissions) of this meeting, you can manage these just like normal meetings from Zoom

How to disconnect from New Era

Disconnecting your Zoom account from New Era ADR is simple. You have two methods:

Through the New Era ADR Platform:

  1. Scroll down to the "Zoom Configuration" section.

  2. Click "Disconnect My Zoom Account."

Through Zoom directly:

  1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  2. Click Manage >> Added Apps or search for the "New Era ADR" app.

  3. Click the "New Era ADR" app.

  4. Click Remove.

Once you go through this process, we will no longer be able to schedule meetings for you unless you connect again.

You might ask, "What about my data?" We only store a small amount metadata about meetings: the link for attendees to join and the link for you to start with. We keep those for 60 days after the dispute has been resolved or closed, following our standard data retention policy.

Any meetings scheduled prior to disconnecting will still exist. To delete these, you must do so yourself via Zoom.

Troubleshooting

Zoom Pre-Approval Error:

If your Zoom account is through a company or an organization, chances are they might restrict which Zoom Apps can be used. If you see an error message like the one above, your IT administrator or team needs to approve our Zoom App. Here is a direct link to our app on the Zoom Marketplace. We'd be happy to answer any questions they have.

Other Errors:

If you receive any other error connecting Zoom, please log out of both zoom.us and neweraadr.com, log back in, and retry. If that doesn't work, contact New Era ADR Support.

If you receive an error scheduling, or don't see your meeting listed, please try disconnecting and reconnecting your Zoom account, then retry scheduling. If that doesn't work, contact New Era ADR Support. Instructions are listed further down.
